World Book Day

We had a great day celebrating literacy and books.

We started the day with a circle time. The children talked about their costumes and favourite books.

We then got to work decorating our potatoes to look like our favourite book characters. These were super impressive and the children had obviously put a lot of thought into their designs.

The book club suggested we watched an animation that was based on a book so we did that with Primary 1. We chose “The Highway Rat”. Afterwards we worked in groups to create story maps.

In the afternoon we worked with our Chromebook Buddies to create animations using our potatoes. It was great fun!
